Today I was at the soccer-match between Stabæk and Manchester United 2.
Being just a friendly match, it was of no particular importance, but I had a good day with my cameras:
This was the first time I tried remote shooting with my Canon EOS 30D. I placed it behind one of the goals,
and had a remote-controll with me at the sideline where I stood with my other camera. I can't say getting shots from several angles is bad thing.
I would also like to inform that this website is constructed to work with best with Mozilla Firefox,
therefore some minor bugs may occur by using other browsers. These errors will be fixed. That way,
you'll have a much better experience of visiting this site.

Yesterday I attended a workshop about pinhole-cameras and how to process the photos taken by that sort of
camera. Beeing just a coffee-box with a hole in it, the photo that came out of it was amazingly sharp and accurate. I haven't been able to get my hands on the digital copy of the photo yet, but when I do, I'll
post it. As for now I have a photograph of the photo, and in that way you'll at least get an idea of what
the photo looks like.
I also shot some photos in the backyard of the place where we had the workshop. Could be a great place for
a photoshoot.

Today I did a photo-job for a firm called Personalhuset AS, in Oslo. A plain and simple job, and in that case I
have decided to not put up one of those photos.
But one thing worth telling about is a lesson we had a school today. We had our first digital photo-class for
this semester, and in that occasion we learned about pin-hole cameras, or camera obscura if you like.
The thing about these cameras is that you can make one out of practicly anything: a shoe box, an empty external hard-drive or in my case: a coffee box.
I've heard about pin-holes before, but never tried one myself, until now. Hopefully I will have a final photo on
the upcoming saturday, when we're supposed to work in the dark-room.
When I'ts done, I will publish it here.
The camera we used. Shutter time was 3 minutes +-

I know there is a big lack of updates going on, and I'm sorry for that. As allways.
There has not been happening a lot of events lately, therefore you haven't heard from me. In addition, I was
on a trip to London last week, causing my cameras to rest in their bag at home.
Alltough the cameras stayed at home, i managed to get some snapshots with iPhone. All of them edited
with iPhone apps for photography. It's not much, but it's what i have to offer right now.

Happy New Year!
I would like to wish everyone a happy new year!
2009 was a good year for me as a photographer, and with the launch of this redesigned website, the web-
statistics has gone trough the roof, compared to the summaries of other years. I'm looking forward to
continue producing photos this year aswell, and a lot of new experiences are awaiting.
A short video (with lack of good image quality) to sum up my celebration at new years eve.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, the reason is simple: nothing worth telling about has happened.
Yesterday I did a job for my old school, which held their annual christmas-party for the studens.
I was hired in as a photographer, and took several photos at the event. I'm putting up a couple of the here,
but the rest may be boring for other than the students to watch.
This will be my last blogpost before christmas starts, but there may be some small posts during the holidays,
who knows. I would like to wish every visitor of my website a merry christmas, and thanks for stopping by:)

It's quiet these days. After a week of exams and the visit of the worlds most powerful person I've finally
started on my christmas break. I'm not expecting to a lot of jobs when it comes to photo during the holidays, although a photo here and there may occur. The last job I'm doing this year will be next monday,
where I'm hired in at my old school to photograph their annual christmas party, for the students.
I think it will be a lot of fun.
Also, the christmas just had a good start with snow falling down, and the meteorologists saying it will stay this way during the holidays. Beacuse of this I went out with my dog (whitch is experiencing snow for the first time)
and tried out some of the new cheap flashes i bought on eBay earlier this winter:
The fact that the snow is getting stuck in the dogs face makes it look kinda weird

President Barack Obama in town.
This is an update with a small amount of photos added in addition to those i posted here yesterday.
Barack and Michelle Obama are now on their way home, from the 26-hour visit in Norway and things can go
back to normal. The image-set I uploaded yesterday made it to the frontpage of Demotix Images, and is now
listed as one of the most popular stories.
Here's a few more photos:
Updated: One of my Obama-photos was selected by Demotix to become a part of their news widget. Causing
people from around the world to see the photo. The Daily Telegraph, Himalayan times and Le Monde's a short
list of newspapers that use this widget. A lot of fun. You can see the respective photo HERE

President Barack Obama in town.
Today President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle came to Norway to collect the Nobel Peace Prize 2009.
The only chance I had to photograph him, was at the traditional torchlight-parade in honor of the winner,
where he also came out on the balcony at the Grand Hotel Oslo to greet the people. I waited several hours for him to show up, and he stayed for abot 3 minutes. Later on I had several technical problems including the
raw from Canon 7D not to open in Photoshop, and uploading images took me several tries to complete.
I had to improvise in the conversation from raw to jpeg, andyou can see the results below.

Today I received a letter from the Norwegian union of journalists. It said that I was accepted as a member.
This means a lot for me as photographer, as I now will receive a press card, and by that get into events and
and much more, a lot easier than before.
Hopefully I will receive it before the visit of president Barack Obama.

I photographed a quick self portrait of myself earlier this evening. Tought it would be ok to share.
I've also added a couple of photos in the 'people' section.

Record breaking hitrates!
Since the first time this website was created, there has not been more use of bandwith or a total number of
unique visitors as now.
It looks like I've made the right choices when it comes to design and functionality. The use of social medias
like Twitter and blogs for promotion has also helped out a lot.
But, the purpose of this post, is to inform that the galleries may not be updated in the two upcoming weeks.
This is beacuse of a series of final exams I have coming up now, and I really need to focus on them.
The next project I'm planning to do is related to the visit of president Barack Obama,
and the Nobel Peace Price seremony and concert. I will try to get as much coverage as possible during this event.
Stay tuned for more updates.

Relaunch!
The website is finally up and running again. This time, the design will be kept as it is, without any further changes.
The biggest changes, except design-change, is the video-section in the portfolio and this blog. Earlier on, the blog belonging to this website was hosted externally, but now all updates related to this website, and my work will be posted here. Currently, the galleries are not stuffed with photographs, but in time I will add several more.
If you have comments regarding design or errors that may occur, please use the contact information in the contact-section. As for now, this is what I can offer. I hope you like it
